| 23rd April 1891, I have the honour to report that in the absence of any special instructions from Your Lordship on the point I
have accorded to Mr. Wodehouse, c.m.G, precedence of the treasur- er and the Director of Public Works on the Executive Council.
Mr. Wodehouse's long term
I
of service appears to entitle him to the above precedence, and shall be glad to learn that Your Lordship approves thereof.
If Your Lordship should
do
do so I should be obliged if you
would cause a communication
to that effect to be made to Mr Mitchell-Innes the Colonial Treasur er who is now in England leave of absence.

My Lord Marquess, Your Lordship's Most Obedient
Humble Servant,
